Wastebasket

Wastebasket (2014) Cereal box, hot glue gun. box cutter, acrylic paint, wastebasket-liner (optional)

This is the latest outcome of my "best from waste" philosophy. On my crafting days I come up with a lot of trash - mostly un-reusable paper - that did not have a receptacle. Until now!

I got this idea after we had just finished a massive box of cereal and I did not want to throw away the sturdy container. So I used as box cutter to open it up and hot glued it back together inside-out (so that the brown cardboard surface was facing outwards). Then I spent some time painting the sides and practicing my new-found love of mixing fonts.

There you have it. A wastebasket that reminds you to reuse as much as you can before trashing / recycling stuff.
